WAPLA seeks to help prospective law students by: 

• Enhancing the skills of prelaw advisors.

• Advocating for the interests of undergraduate students and institutions in the counseling and admissions processes leading to law related careers.

• Promoting communication between prelaw advisors, individual law school admissions officers, and Law School Admissions Council, the Educational Testing Service, and other law-related organizations.
