Join us for our 2025 conference in Denver, CO on April 3rd through 5th! This conference will be jointly sponsored by both WAPLA and SWAPLA, bringing our members together to continue building connections and relationships. Hosted by the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver, we will kick off with a welcome reception on Thursday followed by a day and a half of programming over Friday and Saturday. Call for Proposals

We welcome proposals from both new and veteran pre-law advisors, as well as law school representatives, and industry partners impacting students’ pursuit of a legal education. As a thank you in advance (and maybe an incentive), if your proposal is selected for presentation, WAPLA & SWAPLA will cover your conference registration fees.  

Our goal in 2025 is to offer a deeper dive into pre-law advisement and how we prepare students to navigate their legal education and careers. A preliminary afternoon session covering the “nuts and bolts” of pre-law advising for newer advisors will kick off the conference on Thursday, April 3 before we dive deeper into pre-law advising sessions on Friday and Saturday.

We’d love to hear from you and we’re looking forward to reviewing your ideas, whether it’s a concept for an interactive presentation, a panel discussion, a review of a new program, a topic or issue you’re frequently asked about, or you want to dispel a common misconception. If you have ideas but would like to partner with others to develop a presentation, we’d be happy to help make connections. Or if you know someone who would be an interesting presenter, please pass this along to them.

Hotel Information

For the conference, we will be staying at the Hotel Indigo in downtown Denver. Located just across the street from Union Station and steps from the light rail, this modern hotel is perfectly located for taking in all that Denver has to offer. The Lower Downtown (LoDo) Historic District, 16th Street Mall, and Coors Field are all within easy walking distance of the hotel. We have secured room rates at only $179 a night for our attendees if you book through our booking link before March 5th. Please note that the amenities fee of $23/night will appear when you book, but will not be charged when you check-in. It has been waived for our group.
